From the author of This Song Will Save Your Life comes a funny and relatable book about the hazards of falling for a person you haven’t met yet.

Seventeen-year-old Arden Huntley is recklessly loyal. Taking care of her loved ones is what gives Arden purpose in her life and makes her feel like she matters. But she’s tired of being loyal to people who don’t appreciate her—including her needy best friend and her absent mom.

Arden finds comfort in a blog she stumbles upon called “Tonight the Streets Are Ours,” the musings of a young New York City writer named Peter. When Peter is dumped by the girlfriend he blogs about, Arden decides to take a road trip to see him.

During one crazy night out in NYC filled with parties, dancing, and music—the type of night when anything can happen, and nearly everything does—Arden discovers that Peter isn’t exactly who she thought he was. And maybe she isn’t exactly who she thought she was, either.

Honestly, let’s just take a moment and look at this cover. Isn’t it so pretty? The pink to purple color scheme is just dazzling. Even the typography is AMAZING. Aside from looks, I knew I needed this book after reading the summary. It’s about a night of adventure and love. Hey, I love these kind of books.

I feel like when you’re reading, it’s your chance to escape from reality. To live the impossible… to live out an adventure you could never live in your real life. So I personally have no problem with insta-love type love stories. It’s cute, it’s not real life, but that’s not the point. I am definitely anticipating this one.

What are you waiting on this week? I’d love to hear below.

  1. You’re right, that’s a really pretty cover! And you’re spot-on about insta-love being a chance to escape from reality. Instant gratification is (sometimes) where it’s at.

I’m not sure what I’m waiting for this week… I’m always on the lookout for new books, and I think I’m having trouble just catching up reading everything that is already published, haha. Too many books, not enough time. :p
