Favorites
I felt like this book was very unique. It was told from the perspective of multiple unrelated people. Some might say this caused a disconnection between passages of the book, but I personally enjoyed it. It was just refreshing and very interesting to read. I felt like the encounters between Leila and the rest of the characters were all very distinct and unique, yet, as the adventure went on, I felt like I got to know Leila very well.
I don’t want to say too much about the plot because it would be a spoiler. However, I would say that although I was a bit confused about the “big picture” of the plot in the beginning, I felt like I was very satisfied with the way it wrapped up by the end of the novel.

Not-so-faves
I wish that a few certain stories were a bit longer. Also, I wish that there was a greater amount of detail about the people she encountered. However, I know this is hard because those people were the ones telling the story so it would only make sense for them to describe Leila and not themselves.

Final Thoughts
Some say this book is reminiscent of Paper Towns, but I personally didn’t see it. Aside from the fact that they were on a road trip, there wasn’t much of a correlation for me. Personally, it took me 3 days to read this book, in a few different sessions. Basically, it was a very disconnected process. However, I felt like this made it much more enjoyable. This book was almost like 5 short stories combine into one book. It made sense to read it separately/disconnectedly. This is why I think this is the perfect read for a road trip. You can read it in bits and pieces, but in the end you’ll see how the full story ties in altogether.
I just found that this book is really enjoyable process, and I hope you’ll give it a chance to!
If you are going on a vacation/ road trip, I would recommend you grab a copy of this and bring it along with you!!
