July Wrap Up

SAM_7620

Hello everyone! So yet another month has passed by, and I am here with my July Wrap Up.

Overall, July was a pretty good reading month for me. I actually caught up to my Goodreads challenge this month (not so much anymore because I haven’t been reading). I read a total of 17 this month! 3 down from June, but that’s fine because I didn’t read at all the last week of July due to summer school.

In those 17, I read 12 books, 2 novellas, and 3 comic books.

Aside from the numbers, I had a rough start to the month. The first book I read this month, An Ember In the Ashes was just so amazing, that every book I read after that felt a little mediocre. Nevertheless, it picked up and I read quite a few books I thoroughly enjoyed!

I’ve linked the reviews that I have written. For the ones that I haven’t, the reviews are coming soon! I know that seems like the majority of the books I’ve read this month, but they are coming I promise! (Except the comic books, I won’t be reviewing those, maybe a small diary post about though if you guys are interested!)

Also, I had a bit of a fantasy kick this month, moving away from my usual contemporary reads! Quite refreshing honestly.

1. An Ember In The Ashes – Sabaa Tahir – 4.5/5
2. The Rosie Effect – Graeme Simsion – 2.5/5
3. Extraordinary Means – Robyn Schneider – 3/5
4. Second Chance Summer – Morgan Matson – 4/5
5. The Girl On The Train – Paula Hawkins – 3/5
6. We Were Liars – E. Lockhart – 2/5
7. This Is What Happy Looks Like – Jennifer E. Smith – 3.5/5
8. Happy Again – Jennifer E. Smith – 3/5
9. Saint Anything – Sarah Dessen – 4/5
10. Throne of Glass – Sarah J. Maas – 4.5/5
11. Cinder – Marissa Meyer – 4/5
12. Scarlet – Marissa Meyer – 4/5
13. Losing It – Cora Carmack – 4/5
14. Keeping Her – Cora Carmack – 4/5
15. The Flash (The New 52) Vol 1: Move Forward – 4/5
16. The Flash (The New 52) Vol 2: Rogues Revolution – 4/5
17. The Flash (The New 52) Vol 3: Gorilla Warfare – 4/5

How was your reading month? I would love to hear what your favorite read of the month was. Mine is either An Ember In The Ashes or Throne of Glass, honestly can’t choose between the 2.

love, Jeanette

  1. Wow, well done on your reads! I don’t think I could ever read 17 books in a month, so hats off to you!

Is Scarlet good? I read Cinder but it was very forgettable. I’m not sure if I should continue with the series or not!

  2. My favorite read this summer was EVery Last Word by: Tamara Ireland Stone. It’s a bout how a teenager copes with the challenges of high school and OCD. You should definitely read it!
